The Hovawart has been described as relatively new. In fact, it has been recognized for. the German Canine Society from 1936, since appeared in Wúrttemberg toward final of the XIX century. The name Hovawart comes from the German Hofewart that means guardian dog, but its paper, during many years, it seems that it has simply been that of company animal, although he/she would respond as guardian if he/she was ordered. He/she has appeared recently in the European circuit of exhibitions and it is recognized by the Canine Society of Great Britain.
Character and taken care
An excellent guardian to which he loves the home and the children, is easy to train, the Hovawart spreads to be a master's dog. Mature slowly and he/she will respond aggressively when he/she is caused.
